Our Volunteers

Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden recognizes the importance of volunteers and could not function without their service. Volunteers are at the core of all projects and events. They represent the Arboretum and communicate the spirit of our mission to the public. Volunteers present critical information to visitors and the sincerity and accuracy of that message is important.  The Arboretum strives to create a healthy and happy environment in which volunteers can work. We are committed to training all volunteers well. No one is “just a volunteer.”

Some of the many rewards and benefits of volunteering at Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden:

  • Opportunity to learn through workshops, field trips, and continuing training programs offered by the Arboretum.
  • Opportunity to meet and develop friendships with others who share similar interests.
  • Privilege of representing an outstanding arboretum, containing one of the most unique collections of plant life in the United States.
  • Supportive workplace environment in which you can use skills and experience personal growth.
  • Work schedule that meets your busy lifestyle.
  • Invitation to volunteer appreciation gathering.
  • Access to the Arboretum’s plant information and resource library.
  • Professional assistance with plant problems.
