Clarcor Update

Friday, September 19, 2014 by

The renovation of Klehm’s Demonstration Gardens is well under way and we are excited to watch the re-design take shape. New retaining walls and a new Clarcor Pavilion wheelchair accessible deck have been added. Two new trends in the horticultural industry, a vertical garden area and rain barrels, will be added as well. These renovations have been made possible by generous gifts from The Blazer Foundation, Alpine Kiwanis Club and private donations.  We still have opportunities to support this project directly.  If you would like to contribute, please contact Dan Riggs at 815-965-8146 for a list of needed plantings, trees and supplies.  ...

At least one pup found a home thanks to Klehm:  Hiking for Hounds: The Costume Contest had a record number of participants, and...

Securing Klehm’s Financial Future Raising Funds for the Bur Oak Endowment with the Carroll H. Starr Endowment Challenge Grant In 2013 the Klehm Arboretum Foundation (KAF) was chosen to participate in the Carroll H.
