Sunday, July 20, 2014 Doors open at 4:00pm, concert at 6:00pm The Saturday June Band plays rock favorites from classic to contemporary and has performed at Navy Pier and Chicagofest. The band plays with an infectious enthusiasm that draws in the listener and makes you want to get out there and dance to those songs you know so well. Woodsong Concerts are held outdoors on the lawn in Klehm’s magnificent Fountain Garden. Bring a chair, pillow or blanket and a picnic dinner. Concerts are held rain or shine! We have a rain site. Sunday, June 15, 2014 Doors open at 4pm, concert at 6pm Ac•Rock is Chicago’s premier a cappella quartet, singing classic rock ‘n roll favorites from the 1950s and on. Ac•Rock sings boomer rock in stunning vocal harmony without instrumental accompaniment. It’s an engaging mix of tightly-crafted music and freewheeling humor that pleases audiences of all ages. There will be no food available for purchase at this concert, so pack your own food and beverages.  Alcohol is allowed. Community Dog Walk

Sunday, May 4, 2014 1pm – 4pm It’s time for Klehm’s annual celebration of our best friend – the dog. Bring your canine friends to spend a day enjoying and exploring our entire 155 acres of gardens and grounds. Our Community Dog Walk is meant to be informal and fun so there’s no scheduled programs, but we do have a cause. Visitors are encouraged to offer cash donations to support Kibble Korner, Rockford’s pet food pantry. Kibble Korner has a mission to keep our area’s pets fed and in the homes they know and love. As families struggle with the loss of jobs, your help can make all the difference to sparing children, parents, and the family pet the heartache of separation. Saturday, March 22 10:00am – 2:00pm Our March Family Day will focus on flowers and things that bloom! We have lots of fun things planned  for this months family-focused day. Be prepared to keep busy! Make flower crafts, keep busy with other “blooming” fun and search the gallery room for flowers found in the Klehm Gardens.  We know kids love Scavenger Hunts, so we have hidden ten different flower varieties around the gallery room.  See how long it takes to find all ten. Take a walk outside to look for a Robin.  We know they are here. see if you can spot one.  We will have binoculars on hand to help kids search. Our sidewalks are ready for flower power! Klehm Family Day

Saturday, February 22, 2014 10:00am – 2:00pm Our February Family Day will focus on the birds that make Klehm and Northern IL their home in winter.  Each winter the North Central Illinois Ornithological Society (NCIOS) performs a bird count at Klehm and throughout Winnebago, Ogle and Boone counties. Families can go on a scavenger hunt for the birds counted by NCIOS.  After the walk, warm up in the Visitors Center Gallery with hot drinks and cookies. Kids can make and take home bird feeders, work on cardinal bird art and keep busy with other bird-related fun.  If your child has a peanut allergy, please be aware the bird feeder supplies may contain peanuts.
