Tuesday, July 21, 2015 9:00am – 11:00am University of Illinois Extension and Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden invite kids ages 6 to 12 to be Young Explorers this summer at Klehm Arboretum, 2715 S. Main St., Rockford. Young Explorers is a new summer program co-sponsored by Klehm Arboretum and U of I Extension. Sessions will be led by U of I Extension staff with help from a Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and Klehm Arboretum volunteers, and will feature fun, interactive and educational activities designed to celebrate nature while exploring the beautiful grounds at Klehm Arboretum. Sunday, July 19, 2015 11:00am – 6:00pm Art on the Lawn, a Rockford tradition since 2000, is moving to a new home at Klehm Arboretum in 2015. The juried fine art show will feature a wide variety of fine art in many media available to purchase: photograph, ceramics, fiber/paper, glass, mixed media, painting, sculpture, wearable art and more. Art on the Lawn admission includes entrance to Klehm’s outdoor concert series, Woodsong, later in the evening. Blues powerhouse “The Jimmys” will be performing at 6pm.  Stay the whole day with us!
