Join Walter Piorkowski, a local photomicroscopist with over 35 years experience, as he teaches the techniques and forms of photography used to capture the smallest subjects in nature. Mr. Piorkowski has received international recognition for his photomicrographic work. In addition to the techniques and software relating to the exciting application of “image stacking,” the presentation will cover photo basics, specialized equipment and lighting. Mr. Piorkowski will give an introduction to the use of the microscope and the making of photomicrographs, plus show some of his work in this field. Join Dan on Saturday, January 8, 2011 form 9am-10:30am for a walk through Klehm to identify the many birds that visit the arboretum each winter.
