Sunday, October 18, 2015 10:00am-2:00pm It’s time for Klehm’s annual celebration of our best friend – the dog.  Bring your costumed canine friends to spend a day enjoying and exploring our entire 155 acres of gardens and grounds.  At 1pm that day, dog owners are encouraged to enter their furry friends into a costume contest.  Prizes will be awarded, and everyone will be able to take home good memories and pictures.  In addition, there will be vendors with pet-friendly products to visit and an adoption event featuring local advocacy organizations.  Are you looking for a canine companion?  There will be plenty looking for forever homes that day. Girl Scout Day @ the Arboretum When: Sunday, October 4, 2015 9:00am – 4:00pm Where: Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden What: Girl Scout Day at the Arboretum is a chance for Girl Scout Troops in Northern Illinois to come out to Klehm Arboretum for a fun filled day of nature related activities. There are six stations for Girl Scouts to complete. At each station, Scouts will learn about and complete an activity related to that specific topic. Horticulture for the Holidays

Saturday, November 15, 2014 9:00am – 12.00pm University of Illinois Extension’s annual Horticulture for the Holidays event is scheduled for November 15th from 9 a.m. to noon (check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.) at Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Participants will experience two make-it-take-it workshops. The $25 fee includes all workshop materials, admission into Klehm Arboretum, and morning beverage service. Registration is limited.
