MembershipKlehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, a not-for-profit organization established in 1989, provides botanical education for the region. Sharing enthusiasm for all plants – flowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, gardens and their environments – members strive to continue the botanical legacy begun here in the early 1900’s. In partnership with the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District, the members are working to preserve, restore and enhance Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Klehm Arboretum is supported by tax-exempt contributions, memberships, special events, and facility rentals. Our focus is botanical science education and the development of Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden, a unique living museum with over 150 acres of magnificent trees and other plants. Serving the northwestern Illinois area, the Arboretum is a partnership with the Winnebago County Forest Preserve. Klehm Arboretum members share a rich enthusiasm for plants, gardens, their environment and all living things.
