Flower Fund
“One of the most delightful things about a garden
is the anticipation it provides.”
As with many delightful things, our garden is a work in progress.
Your gift to the flower fund makes it possible to purchase plant
material and supplies for this year’s gardens. With your support our
staff and dedicated volunteers will fill our many gardens with
annuals and perennials. Please consider a gift to help us keep our
beautiful garden growing.
We welcome tribute gifts to our flower fund in memory or in honor of
your friends, family or organization. We will gladly send a special
announcement card.

Memorials and Tributes
|
You may give a Lasting Gift in the
memory of a departed loved one. Your gift provides a permanent
remembrance of that person and helps us as we develop gardens and
educational programs at Klehm Arboretum and Botanic
Garden. Families of those whose memories you have honored receive a
Memorial Card. Your gift is also listed in the
Arboretum’s
newsletter, “Roots.”
Your Lasting Gift can also be used to pay Special Tribute to family
and friends at important occasions throughout the year—birthdays,
anniversaries, achievements, or as expressions of celebration. A
personal acknowledgement is sent to the person honored and your gift
is listed in the “Roots” newsletter.

of your generosity.

Educational Programs
|
Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden is the regional educational center for the art and science of
horticulture. Your vision and generosity will help make quality
education available to school children and the increasing numbers of
adults interested in one of America’s favorite activities.
Annual symposiums, community outreach programs for students, senior
citizens workshops, expanded tour and lecture programs are just a
few examples.
Partial funding for educational programs provided with the
assistance of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the
Illinois State Museum.

The endowment fund assures continued
support for the Arboretum’s educational programs and facilities for spaces designed
for teaching the art of gardening; for exploring the wonders of
science and the love of nature. Funds also provide a place where
natural beauty and clean air refresh the body and mind.
