Sunrise Photo Walk

5:26 am/sunrise

Arrive in time for sunrise at 5:26 am. Bring your camera, have a cup of complimentary hot coffee, and capture your favorite Garden scenes as the sun comes up.

Free Arboretum tours begin at 4 pm
Concert starts at 6 pm

The "Ultimate '60s Flashback" features Melody Mallin performing tunes from such greats as Dusty Springfield, Grace Slick, Leslie Gore, and more.  Take a trip back in time to the British Invasion, the Shindig/Hullabaloo era, life-changing events of the decade. Woodstock, Haight-Ashbury and the Viet Nam anti-war movement.  We encourage you to get your groove on and dress for the period!

Days on the Family Farm: From the Golden Age through the Great Depression

May Lyford Davis kept a daily chronicle of her and her husband’s lives through two decades of prosperity, the Great Depression and two world wars in their farming community just east of Rockford. Author of the book, Carrie Meyer, professor at George Mason University, will share what she uncovered in researching May’s diaries. Join her for a step back into the past.
