On Saturday, November 16, 2013 Klehm hosted the yearly volunteer brunch to show appreciation to the numerous dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours contributing to Klehm’s success.  We are grateful for the tremendous volunteer effort it takes to maintain our living museum and always welcome new volunteers to help us keep Klehm beautiful and thriving. Thanks to ABC Catering for providing the meal, Beautiful Day Linens for providing the tablecloths and Broadway Florist for creating the centerpieces. Every year Klehm recognizes three outstanding volunteers for their efforts. Their names will be added to the plaques hanging in the Visitors Center. Celebration of Tu B’Shevat...

“New Year of the Trees” Sunday, February 12, 2012 10:00am – 12:00pm Update – The event was a great success. Klehm was proud to take part. We’ve posted some photos to our Facebook page. As part of our Community Trees Program, Klehm Arboretum will join students of Temple Beth-El Religious School, the Jewish Federation of Greater Rockford and the Rockford Park District in celebrating Tu B’Shevat: “New Year of the Trees” or Jewish Arbor Day. To celebrate the importance of trees for personal and societal well-being, students of Temple Beth-El Religious School will share foods that come from trees; plant seedlings; and pledge to plant a tree in their community.
