Sunday, August 17, 2014 Doors open at 4:00pm, concert at 6:00pm If dancing and just plain having a good time is what you like to do, this concert is for you! A very well seasoned band with years of musical experience. Big Daddy Woo Woo has opened up for “KC and The Sunshine Band”, played with members of “The Time”, opened up for “Confunkshun”, opened up for “38 Special” and also played after “Earth, Wind & Fire” as the finale for the Beloit Riverfest!   The Gardens close at 3:00pm that day and reopen at 4:00pm for the concert. Come Out And Be Part Of The Fun! Concerts are held outdoors on the lawn in Klehm’s magnificent Fountain Garden. Bring a chair, pillow or blanket and a picnic dinner. Concerts are held rain or shine! How To Make Seed Balls

Seed balls make sowing a lot easier!  Seed balls are seeds wrapped in soil materials , then dried and planted later.  Seed balls can be dropped anywhere suitable for the species during the germination period.  First, sift clay to remove lumps and then measure out 5 parts clay,  3 parts compost and 1 part seeds.  Combine the seeds with the compost first, then add enough clay and water to hold the mixture together.  Roll out small amounts of the seed mixture to about the size of a penny.  Store seeds balls in a cool, dark area where insects will not disturb them.  Refrigeration works best if you have room available in your fridge.  In spring, toss the seed balls in a cleared area to germinate.  This method works great for wildflower gardens and is...
