Sinnissippi Audubon and Severson Dells: Fall Birding Bonanza

Join the Sinnissippi Audubon chapter and Severson Dells at Klehm Arboretum’s Clarcor Pavilion for a fun and fascinating day of bird and nature activities. Guided bird walks all morning! Please come early, bring a friend or the kids, and enjoy the day.

Presentations & Activities

9:30am -10:30am Dr. Joey Holmes of Rock Valley College will discuss the Hines Emerald Dragonfly of Illinois.

10:30am -11:00am Charlotte Hackin, International recognized artist, an author, an Art teacher at Rock Valley College and the host of “Stay Young To 100″ on Comcast 17 will present on her book “Sketching Birds From Photographs”. Book signing immediately after.

11:00am – 12:00pm Terrill Knaack, wildlife painter and naturalist from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin  Terrill will discuss his art, his years as student of Owen Gromme, and his 40-year career as one of the Midwest’s foremost nature artists.

11:30am – 12:30pm Candy Ridlbauer from Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab and Education will have live birds. Great for kids!

Complementary food will also be provided from 11:00am ‘til 1:00pm.
