Winnebago County Forest Preserve District to Host Welcome Event for Region’s New Environmental Leaders

The Winnebago County Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners is holding an Open House for all environmental partners to meet and greet the recently appointed Executive Directors of seven nature-related organizations serving Winnebago County. The Open House will be held at Klehm Arboretum on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The organizations and their Executive Directors are:

  • Burpee Museum of Natural History, Maureen Mall
  • Klehm Arboretum, Dan Riggs
  • Natural Land Institute, Kerry Leigh
  • Nicholas Conservatory, Kelly Moore
  • Rock Cut State Park, Melinda Kitchens
  • Winnebago Boone Farm Bureau, Ann Marie Cain
  • Winnebago County Forest Preserve District, Michael Holan

Winnebago County Forest Preserve District Board President, Judy Barnard says WCFPD is hosting the networking event because, “This is an unprecedented time in our community as these new leaders take the helm of their respective organizations. It is a time for us all to work collectively to advance our common interests and leverage our resources.”
