Seasonal Administrative & Marketing Assistant

Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden is seeking an administrative professional for an immediate opening as Administrative & Marketing Assistant. This position will be responsible for Klehm’s social media and website content and delivery in the Marketing Director’s absence. The position will also handle the maintenance of several databases, as well as general administrative assistant duties and staff support.

Position is Full-time, Seasonal. Klehm is located in Rockford, IL. Compensation is $11-12 per hour, based on experience.

Education:

Some college preferred, but not required.

Experience:

Candidate should have previous office or customer service experience, and be able to provide personal and professional references.

Skills:

Position requires a candidate with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Editing and proof-reading abilities a must. Qualified candidate must have excellent customer service skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and possess the ability to quickly learn and work with databases, publishing applications and new software.

Candidate should work well both independently and as part of a team.
