Released – May 5, 2011
On Saturday, May 14 from 9am-noon the community is invited to Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden to be a part of a fun service project to help control the spread of garlic mustard at Klehm.
A brief training will begin at 9am and then groups will spread out throughout specifically designated areas of the Arboretum.
Watch the challenge between The Winnebago County Forest Preserve Commissioners and the Klehm Board of Directors team to see which team can “pull” more garlic mustard.
This is a rain or shine event so please dress for the weather and bring a pair of cloves. This activity is not appropriate for very young children. No experience required. FREE to register call (815) 965-8146 or just show up on Saturday.
